LET'S KILL ALL THE BROKERS

They played with money
for their living -- till we found
them a place to rest.

END OF STORY

I remember pushing Humpty Dumpty off the wall. It was not an accident. Something inside me looked at that egg with his little black patent leather shoes, his little plaid hat and suspenders and his big fat shit-eating grin and so I pushed him. I'm glad I did it. It gave the neighbors something to talk about. It gave the other children something to sing. It gave the King something to do with his horses and men besides torment the rest of us. It was a political act. All fairytales are about the political acts of disgruntled children. Hansel and Gretel is about the assassination of a dictator in one version, the political martyrdom of the protagonists in another. We all know what the forest is... Humpty Dumpty represented the rich boobs who ran the country. They sat on the wall laughing at us. And now they're scrambled eggs.
