5/13/08: 'Spring Frost'

By Larry M. Schilb

whose yard this is—Hell, I know,

my heart isn’t in it, though;

my little dog must think it queer

to see me nurse a second beer.

the mower is lonely, garage buried—

   deep,

but the wife’s at work,

I’ve a promise to keep,

a lawn to mow before I sleep,

a lawn to mow before I sleep.

This made me chuckle, Larry. I like your play upon the Frost poem.
